Interns and ethics

Many companies hire interns.

Many companies have ethics training.

Many companies don’t require their interns to take ethics training because they won’t be working for long.

That’s a short-sighted approach.

These interns could become our employees one day.  They have been interviewed and deemed good enough to get a temporary job.  If they like the work and we like their performance, we are likely to hire them when a relevant position opens up.

So why send them a message that business ethics is not important?
